XB4 wins at GP Lyonnais

The first batteries in 4WD were a bit difficult for me because with mini pin tires at front you need a completely different setup since it has so much more steering compared to what we use at EOS. I was only at position 6 after practice. In qualifying I found a bit better setup and set my car behind Martin Bayer on second position. So at the start grid for the A-main I was on P2 and Martin Bayer was on P1.

4WD Results :

In 2WD I was second after practice. The car worked great from the first moment. Start grid after qualifying was P1 and P2 for XRAY at A-Main.

In the first final I pushed a car out because I didnâ€t know he was first. I was very very sorry for that very unlucky situation. The race director did the right thing and gave me a penalty. So I went from P1 to P4 after the penalty.

In the second final I was driving behind Martin Bayer. He made a mistake on a jump. He hit me unluckily and I lost a steering link, so the race was over for me.

Luckily the race system for Sunday was changed to 3 finals. Congratulation to the organizer who did and absolute great job and made always the best of the situation.

I hope I can enjoy this race also next year. It was so nice to be there.
